Devotees of Opus One, the grand red created by the Robert Mondavi Winery and Chateau Mouton Rothschild, will get a taste of the 2006 vintage, among others, at a wine dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 3.
The dinner is scheduled at Tellers Chophouse, which is celebrating 10 years in business. Cost: $200 per person.
Opus One from the 2005, 1990 and 1984 vintages also will be poured, for a three-decade sampling of the great Bordeaux-Napa alliance.
The anniversary menu, from Cornelius Gallagher of the Bohlsen restaurants, which include Tellers, includes appetizers choices such as lobster bisque, baked clams, and braised beef with Parmesan polenta; and main dishes including rib-eye steak with truffle butter, filet mignon Wellington and roasted organic chicken with cornbread stuffing.
Sweets: apple cobbler and chocolate-souffle cake.
Tellers Chophouse is at 605 Main St. Islip.; 631-277-7070.
