After a two-year hiatus, Il Vizio Ristorante, formerly in East Meadow, has opened in Massapequa in what had been Friendly’s.

Owner Luigi Prudente said it took close to a year to transform the place, with double the bar capacity and seating for more than 50.

Prudente is also the general manager and frontman of the place. “I’ll be working seven days a week,” he said, “so chances are, you’ll meet me when you come in.”

Prudente described his restaurant as fine-dining style and service with more moderate prices for appetizers like fresh mozzarella Francaise, artichoke heart Francaise, baked clams and sautéed calamari for $10-$14.

Entrees include chicken or veal Parmesan for $17-$19 for an individual portion, or $25-$29 for family-style orders that feed three or four diners.

Domenico Pinto and Gilberto Almeida are the chefs.

Il Vizio — which means the bad habit or vice in Italian — is open from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for lunch, 4 to 10 p.m. for dinner Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights.
