Just how different was Italian food on Long Island in 1993? See for yourself every Tuesday night in November as Piccola Bussola serves its original menu — at original prices.

The current menu at Piccola Bussola (both Huntington and Mineola locations) features 24 starters, 18 pastas, 37 entrees, 11 vegetables. The original menu consisted of 38 items total.

Current prices are also a shadow of their former selves. Back in the day, the restaurant only served family style and, in fact, most current individual-size portions at Piccola Bussola cost more than the family-style portions did in 1993. To wit: Pasta marinara, currently $13 for an individual, $19 for the family, was $12 for the family. Pasta with clams was $14, chicken scarpariello was $14, veal Parmigiana was $15.75, shrimp oreganata was $16.

On throwback Tuesdays, you'll also be able to order everything on the current menu — including such newfangled dishes as arugula salad, lobster ravioli, pasta in vodka sauce and chicken Francese — but these items will be offered at their 2015 prices.

Piccola Bussola is at 159 Jericho Tpke., Mineola, 516-294-4620, and 970 W. Jericho Tpke., Huntington, 631-692-6300, piccolabussolarestaurant.com.
