Villa Olivetti, an Italian restaurant, has succeeded Spezia in St. James.

The new restaurant is managed by Mauricio Oliveras and Michael Naves, who earlier had operated Mauricio’s Orlando’s II at the Middle Country Road address.

Villa Olivetti offers a fixed-price $24.95 menu every day that includes an appetizer, main course, and dessert and coffee. It also has a Monday “pasta night” special for $12.95, which includes soup or salad and any pasta.

Among the popular pastas are gnocchi Bolognese and rigatoni alla vodka. Main dishes take in osso buco, stuffed pork chops, lobster fra diavolo, and veal Olivetti, scaloppini with tomato and mozzarella in brown sauce. Starters include grilled octopus and rice balls.

Spezia closed in late summer.
