Jake's Wayback Burgers: Fish for March

It was a turkey burger I was craving when I stopped into the East Northport branch of Jake's Wayback Burgers on a recent evening. What sidetracked me, though, was a menu item that will only be available until the end of March — a cod sandwich ($5.99).
What I got was a sizable fillet that overhung its bun. It was nicely fried and clean-tasting, topped with bright leaf lettuce. I requested tartar sauce on the side, preferring to apply it sparingly. At any rate, said sandwich made for a satisfying little meal. Handy to know about, for those observing Lent.
Jake’s Wayback Burgers has also added chili ($3.99) to its permanent menu.
