Joe's Luncheonette
Joe Gullo bought this half-century-old luncheonette 2 ½ years ago and changed its name from Bob's to Joe's. But when he answers the phone, it's just "luncheonette." The menu is simple and classic with an emphasis on breakfast and burgers. In addition to the counter and a few tables, there's a small grocery selection geared toward the needs of the boat owners and fishermen who toil on Freeport's Nautical Mile: canned soup, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, greeting cards, smokes and a huge array of New York State lottery games.
