New to the ever-evolving Great Neck restaurant scene is Leah’s Bistro, a glatt kosher restaurant occupying the former digs of Dougie’s BBQ, a storefront that, years before, housed Myoora Thai. I stopped in to pick up a menu and recognized the Thai ceiling details from that incarnation.

Chef Shmuel Baum, who hails from Israel, cooked at several big hotels in Tel Aviv. He offers a menu of European, American and Middle Eastern dishes. Some items: an Israeli salad ($7.95), an assorted Moroccan appetizer plate ($8.95), a burger deluxe topped with pastrami ($14.95), lamb kufta kebab ($17.95) and chicken stroganoff ($19.95).

Leah’s Bistro is at 105 Middle Neck Rd., Great Neck, 516-829-4528.
