New to Smithtown’s downtown restaurant roundup is Lemon Leaf Thai Cuisine, which moved into the storefront space last occupied by Genghis Khan.

The place is affiliated with Lemon Leaf Thai Restaurant  in Mineola, which earned two stars in 2010. The Smithtown spot is small but nicely appointed; this I observed while stopping in to pick up a menu. The repertoire here is nearly identical to those at the Nassau County locations. Sample dishes include chicken with sticky rice wrapped in a banana leaf ($6.75), drunken noodles ($10.95), basil duck ($16.95) and mango shrimp ($14.50).

Lemon Leaf Thai Cuisine is at 71 E. Main St., Smithtown, 631-724-3131.
