It’s one of Long Island’s biggest and glitziest charity events: The Long Island Hospitality Ball, when scores of restaurants, bakeries, wineries and spirits companies — and thousands of dressed-to-the-nines revelers — come together for a night of tasting, quaffing and dancing to benefit the American Cancer Society. Last year’s event raised $365,000.
This year, the fourth annual ball will be held on June 2 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury from 7 p.m. to midnight. Among the participants are Pop’s Seafood Shack and Grill (Island Park), the Bohlsen Restaurant Group (Tellers and Verace, Islip; Prime, Huntington; H20, Smithtown; Monsoon, Babylon), Vittorio’s Restaurant and Wine Bar (Amityville), Besito Mexican (Roslyn and Huntington), Capital Grille (Garden City), Insignia Prime Steak & Sushi (Smithtown), Sage Bistro (Bellmore) and Mill Pond House (Centerport). For a complete list, click here.
Entertainment highlights include live bands paying tribute to the 50s (The Rat Pack Music by Johnny Avino), 60s (Off the Hook's Salute to Motown), 70s (That 70's Band) and 80s (The Mystic) as well as DJs spinning hits of the 90s (TJ and Claudio) and today (Jason Ojeda, Hex Hector and DJ Theo).
Advance tickets are $125 per person and include unlimited food and drink. Click here to purchase them online, or contact Daria from the American Cancer Society at 631-300-3461 or email daria.carioscia@cancer.org. Tickets will be $175 at the door.
