Locale Gastro Bar & Pizzette has served its last meals after a nearly decade-long run along Patchogue’s restaurant row.

The Italian American restaurant opened in 2017 in the New Village mixed use complex owned by Tritec, which confirmed the restaurant's closing.

The restaurant opened at a pivotal time in Patchogue's redevelopment, said Chris Kelly, Tritech's vice president of marketing. The level of food and atmosphere Locale provided "helped legitimize our own project so we’ll always be grateful to them in deciding to open in Patchogue and deciding to open with us," he said.

Owner Fabrizio Castelli, who ran the restaurant with his children Ariana, Francesco and Giuseppe, could not be reached for comment.

Locale had an industrial chic look with exposed pipes and bricks. Its menu included a meat and cheese board, small pizzas and Nonna Rosa's meatballs, among classics such as chicken parm, Milanese and piccata.
