Love Lane Market reopens in Mattituck

Superstorm Sandy wreaked havoc on Love lane Market in Mattituck. The grocery had been shuttered since last fall, but as of July 4, it is up and running again.
Owners Mike and Patty Avella have a new partner, George Caso, a chef who also runs a paleo-diet home-delivery service, Caveman ToGo.
According to Mike Avella, Caso will have a free hand in the market’s kitchen, and will expand the prepared and takeout food offerings. Also new: house-baked pastries and locally roasted coffee. What won’t change, Avella said, is the market’s commitment to sustainable meats and hard-to-find (on the North Fork) specialty items.
