A sign in the window of the now-departed Sertino’s Cafe in Smithtown announces that the site will soon be home to Luso, a Portuguese rodizio restaurant that’s now located a few blocks east on Main Street.

Luso owner Luisa Batista said that the restaurant’s current quarters are too small. The new and larger location — which, for years, housed a Sizzler restaurant — should be ready within a month. It will have an open kitchen, a bar and a “modern casual” look. An on-premise parking lot will be a real bonus.

Batista added that menu will remain the same, with the addition of a few new specials. A “rodizio” all you can eat option of various meats, sliced off skewers to order, will go for $33.95 a person.

Luso is at 101 E. Main St., Smithtown, 631-406-6820
