If you’re looking for avegolemono or spanakopita, there’s a new spot open in Lynbrook, called Lynbrook Eats, serving Greek specialties and American diner fare.

Anticipate overstuffed omelets, tall stacks of pancakes and burgers made from a blend created by celebrity butcher Pat LaFrieda. Menu items range from $5 to $25.

It’s the first restaurant from Spiros Anagnostos, who was raised in Astoria, Queens, and grew up working for his family’s restaurants around the borough.

Anagnostos’ mother Stella will be on hand to make Greek specialty dishes and desserts. And his father Timmy will also be around to help.

Anagnostos opened the 70-plus seat restaurant in April after a full interior and exterior renovation, a bright, airy space with a giant “L” above the entrance, inspired by the Lynbrook public schools logo.

Lynbrook Eats is one of several new spots in town, which include River Mill Tavern and Tables that opened last year, Craft Kitchen & Tap House, which opened in February, Doughology that came on the scene in January and Livorno Italian and Sicilian Cuisine that debuted in November.

Lynbrook Eats is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
