Manhasset: Valentine's Day at Stresa

Stresa, one of Long Island's enduring Italian restaurants, is offering a special menu to celebrate Valentine's Day. The cost is $70 per person.

The menu includes Stresa favorites such as scampi Ischitani, or shrimp sauteed with white wine, garlic and herbs; the Charlotte salad, a diced salad with thr tricolor plus asparagus, mushrooms and roasted peppers; sauteed Mediterranean sea bass; and broiled beef medallions capped with Gorgonzola cheese and finished with red-wine sauce. Heart-shaped ravioli, too, filled with ricotta and spinach, in a porcini-mushroom sauce; and angel-hair pasta with shrimp and lobster.

The sweets include ricotta cheesecake, lemon cake, pear tart and the restaurant's popular flourless chocolate cake.
