Masala Wok & Grill — a hybrid Selden eatery that billed itself as an “Indo Pak style Chinese Thai grill restaurant” — has closed. The place, designed to appeal to students and teachers at the nearby Suffolk Community College and Stony Brook University, offered counter service on one side and had a formal dining room on the other.
The place earned one and a half stars. Some high points: spicy lemon coriander soup, Hakka noodles, a ringer for Chinese lo mein, and kung pao potatoes, an inventive vegetarian dish.
