Mojito Cafe opens in Port Washington
Mojito Cafe & Lounge brings a Latin vibe to the Port Washington space last occupied by Vintage Port.
Executive chef and owner Israel Guzman, who also owns Mi Ranchito in nearby Manorhaven, described the place as intimate and candlelit. The menu, he said, features the cuisines of Mexico, Cuba and his native El Salvador.
Some dishes: Camarones al Ajillo, or shrimp in creamy garlic sauce ($16.95), Ropa Vieja, or shredded skirt steak ($16.95) and seafood paella ($21).
Mojito Cafe & Lounge is at 109D Main St., Port Washington, 516-439-4667
