In this week’s Newsday, Peter Gianotti bestows a rare four stars on Monsoon Asian Kitchen and Lounge in Babylon, the first Asian restaurant on Long Island to ever receive this ranking. Gianotti writes that this “ambitious, clever, full-flavored adaptation of cuisines Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and more comes alive via executive chef Michael Wilson. The colorful result reflects less Manhattan’s Chinatown and Flushing’s Asian repertoire than it does a precisely calibrated gauge of Long Island’s appetite.”
