The Lunar New Year is underway. It’s the Year of the Dog. Each animal in the Chinese zodiac has its special time of day. For the dog, it’s 7 to 9 p.m. Here are three Chinese restaurants where dinnertime is worth celebrating.

Recommended: Sichuan pork dumplings, vegetarian hot-and-sour soup, stir-fried sha cha beef, steak kew with Sichuan mala sauce, tangerine chicken, roast duck spring roll, Beijing duck, Lake Tung Ting shrimp. Moderate to expensive.
