Nakisaki, a long-standing Hempstead nexus of Jamaican-Chinese cuisine, has been put up for auction by the state after having been seized for nonpayment of taxes.

The restaurant was more than just a place to go for curried goat and roast pork lo mein; it also functioned as a popular venue for family and community events.
