It’s National Sandwich Day, and it’s time to celebrate with some of your favorites stacked high with pastrami, brisket and more.
Here are some local restaurants and chains offering specials today:
Irving's World Famous Pastrami (8285 Jericho Tpke., Woodbury): Get the pastrami shop's signature sandwich, the Famous Angry Irving, topped with pastrami, provolone, chopped onions, peperoncinis, cracked black pepper, mayonnaise and horseradish mustard on a grilled sourdough club, housemade fries and a drink for $15 (originally $22 ). Jersey Mike’s Subs: Sign up for Jersey Mike’s email club or check out their Facebook page to get a coupon for $2 off any regular sub, good through Thursday. In addition, the chain will continue the celebration for the entire month of November, with its “National Sub Month” promotion featuring weekly social media contests where entrants can win prizes including gift cards and tees. Subway: Instead of offering a deal for National Sandwich Day, Subway is offering a chance to give back. The sandwich chain has partnered with Feeding America to help combat hunger, and today through Friday, customers can contribute to the cause.
