Corner Bakery Cafe, a chain with roots in Chicago and corporate headquarters in Dallas, just opened its first Long Island branch in Westbury. The casual new eatery is attached to Buffalo Wild Wings (with which it shares franchise ownership). It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

You can choose a “scrambler” such as the “Anaheim,” with scrambled eggs, bacon, tomatoes, scallions, Cheddar and with avocado ($7.99), which is also available as a panino ($4.99). At lunch, there’s a chicken pesto sandwich ($7.99), spicy Asian pork sandwich ($8.39), a chicken pomodori panino ($7.99), a chopped salad ($7.99 small, $8.99 large) and cavatappi marinara ($6.99; $7.99).  From the on-site bakery come such items as a whoopie pie ($1.69), a chocolate baby Bundt cake ($2.69) and a maple pecan bar ($1.99).

During the next month, the cafe will be holding drawings for a year’s worth of free panini.
