Having been so blown away by the French fries at Deli King in New Hyde Park, on my next visit I tried the house-made potato chips. They were fantastic. Someone in the kitchen has a real knack for potatoes … perhaps there’s a kosher Irishman about?
To accompany my potato chips, I ordered the Hungarian stuffed cabbage and was rewarded with a stout ingot of savory, rice-studded, ground meat. The sauce was sweet and intensely tomato-y and the whole package made for a nice counterpoint to the crisp, salty chips.
