This week's restaurant reviews
The Stone Turtle in Island Park gets one star from Newsday's Peter M. Gianotti, who praises the "tuna Tartini," the lobster-and-white-Cheddar quesadilla and the pan-roasted filet mignon wrapped with applewood-smoked bacon and served on a round of polenta, among other dishes.
Joan Reminick is impressed with the briny-sweet clams served at La Casa Pizza in Northport. Reminick also says she's a fan of the crunchy-crusted focaccia pie and is pleasantly surprised by the chicken ranch pizza, giving the eatery one and a half stars in this week's Cheap Eats column.
