Nikita Japanese restaurant opens in Massapequa

There's more of the raw and the cooked competing in Massapequa.
Nikita, which has some Asian-fusion fare in addition to Japanese cuisine, has opened on Merrick Road. The moderately priced restaurant is open every day, starting at 11 a.m. six days and at noon on Sunday.
The colorful spot offers traditional sushi and untraditional sushi rolls, as well as hibachi choices, teriyakis, tempuras, and sushi "pizza." Chinese dishes such as General Tso's chicken, cold sesame noodles, dim sum and chow fun supplement them, as do pad Thai and duck fajitas, Thai basil steak and red curry.
