Northport Tasting Room & Wine Cellar closes

The Northport Tasting Room & Wine Cellar is now a part of Northport history.

The place not only had an unusual setup — a wine bar on one side, a wine shop accessible through a separate entrance on the other — but it also offered the option of ordering in from nearby restaurants. After you made your menu choices, the food would be delivered within an hour’s time or less. There was also an in-house roster of cheese and meat plates as well as desserts. Rotating art shows and musical performances added to the appeal of the quirky spot.

Another wine-related venture is said to be moving into the space within the next month or so.
