Oakdale: Beer and bourbon bash

Friday, Apr. 15, at 7 p.m. will be a time to eat, drink and be merry at Snapper Inn in Oakdale, when the restaurant stages a Blue Point Brewery beer & Maker's Mark bourbon dinner.
The four course meal, at $50 a person, is as follows:
Reception: Passed hors d’oeuvres; Maker's Mark cocktail
First Course: Trio: Beer-battered fried oyster, seared scallop, spicy tuna roll; Blue Point Spring Fling
Second Course: Mixed field greens, mandarin oranges with ginger orange viniagrette, accompanied by oatmeal sesame clusters; Blue Point Oatmeal Stout
Third Course: Maker’s Mark bourbon marinated skirt steak topped with smoked hops plum tomato salsa, potato au gratin, haricot verts; Blue Point Toasted Lager
Fourth Course: Homemade peach ice cream, Maker’s Mark 46-soaked peaches brulee with chocolate cigar; Maker’s Mark 46 Bourbon
If you’re neither a beer nor a bourbon drinker, the restaurant will gladly substitute a glass of house wine.
