For the past two years, Taxi's Grille kept hungry Huntingtonians elbow deep in drippy Philly cheesesteaks, hand-cut fries and chili-topped hot dogs. Now, sad to say, Taxi’s has pulled out of town.

But maybe not for good. A message on its old phone number (631-470-9480)
advises checking the website for updates, since it's currently in the process of  “relocating.”

This may turn out to be true, since an earlier version of the original Taxi’s opened in downtown Huntington nearly a decade ago, closed and, years later, re-materialized north of the village.

Keep the meter running.
