Where can you find a roster of small plates that includes tuna tacos, fried Kobe meatballs, lobster risotto and braised beef short ribs? At Park Place, a gastro pub that just opened in the former Floral Park digs of Rustic Grill.

Almost everybody affiliated with the restaurant is 26 years old or under. That includes co-owner  Sergio DeCiantis  (who also owns Cara Mia Due in Seaford) and chef Anthony Martarana, 26, who cooked at Nisen Sushi in Woodbury and The Brass Rail in Locust Valley. Martarana credits Brass Rail chef-owner Kent Monkan with teaching him virtually  everything he knows.

In addition to small plates ($7-$12), Martarana’s menu includes sherry lobster bisque ($8), a lobster BLT ($21), a burger ($12) and full-sized entrees of steak frites ($25) and lobster mac & cheese ($24).

Park Place is at 41 Covert Ave., Floral Park, 516-775-9004
