Open in Port Washington: A new Wild Honey

Tonight marks the debut of Wild Honey on Main, the Port Washington sibling of the Oyster Bay favorite, Wild Honey. Tina and Robert O’Brien take over the spot that was Bistro du Village (whose proprietors, Eric and Laraine Le Dily, can still be found, across the street at their wine bar Vintage Port).
As in Oyster Bay, the new Honey’s menu will be regional American, overseen by Oyster Bay’s executive chef Bob Baez. “We’ve got some great new things on the Port Washington menu,” Tina O’Brien said. “Jonah crab claws, baked truffled oysters, a crackling pork shank.”
While Robert holds down the fort in Oyster Bay, Tina will be running Port Washington. “It’s more fun when we don’t work together,” she said. “Then we have something to come home and talk about.” Since the new restaurant has only 32 seats, she will be serving as well as managing. “That’s how I started out,” she said, “and that’s what I love to do.”
Wild Honey on Main has a full liquor license.
