It’s been months that the former To Fu (est. 1993, closed earlier this year) remodeled and erected a striking sign declaring the imminent opening of Opera House. Last night, it finally opened.
The place looks sleek and modern and vaguely Asian — just what you’d expect from a place that bills itself “Sushi. Asian Fusion. Lounge.” (You'd never guess that the building started out as a Howard Johnson's.) The menu, moderately priced, is a now-commonplace collection of Japanese and Chinese with some Thai and Malaysian thrown in for good measure.
Opera House is at 255 Willis Ave., Roslyn, Heights, 516-484-7456
