Two reasons to celebrate: It's Saturday and the sun is shining. At any of these three places, you'll find outdoor dining with the bonus of a water view. And a full lunch menu.
Here are three places to find Saturday lunch al fresco:
Turkuaz Grill
40 McDermott Ave., Riverhead
631-591-1757
From the porch or patio of this authentic Turkish restaurant, you can catch some rays, a view of the Peconic River and a satisfying lunch. Try the house-made pide -- a savory stuffed pastry with spinach ($8.95), a Mediterranean salad ($9.95) or a sandwich of house-made doner gyro ($5.99).
Catfish Max
681 Naomi St., Seaford
516-785-9776.
Lunch launches at noon at this waterside spot, which has deck seating by the canal-like Tideway River. Have a chopped salad ($11), a blackened catfish wrap ($13) or a soup and sandwich combo ($13).
Wall's Wharf
18 Greenwich Ave., Bayville
516-628-9696.
It doesn't get more outdoorsy than this beachfront restaurant where you can get a table on the upper or lower deck, or even in the sand. On the lunch menu are a beer-braised sandwich with a chipotle BBQ sauce ($13), a truffle horseradish salmon wrap ($15) and a sesame-seared ahi tuna salad ($17).
