Parkside Cafe, perched above the canals of Seaford, was nearly demolished by superstorm Sandy. As owner Joe Bonomo tells it, the place had to be stripped down to the studs, its interior rebuilt entirely.

Now, freshly remodeled, the Parkside has reopened and will feature live music tonight. On chef Matthew Vitale’s menu: kung pao calamari ($14), tuna tartare ($17), Cajun spiced jumbo diver sea scallops ($28), filet mignon gnocchi ($27) and paella ($32).

Parkside Cafe is at 2479 Adler Ct., Seaford, 516- 785-2390, parksidecafe.org.
