Pauly’s Pizza & Pasta in Farmingville serves Thanksgiving pizza

Thanksgiving comes early at Pauly’s Pizza & Pasta in Farmingville. Right now, the Portion Road restaurant is serving a deep-dish pie that features turkey, gravy, sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, Cheddar and, because it’s a pizza, mozzarella. More gravy and cranberry sauce are served on the side.
Owner Paul Infante said he and a friend came up with the idea for the pie eight years ago. That first year, they picked up the cooked ingredients at the market. The pizza was such a hit that the next year Infante began roasting his own turkeys and making his own stuffing and gravy explicitly for the pies.
Whole pies are $40. Slices are $5. Pauly’s intends to serve Thanksgiving pie through Nov. 27. The pizzeria is closed on Thanksgiving.
