Peninsula, the sprawling downtown Bay Shore restaurant that emphasized Chinese and Japanese cuisine, has new owners and an expanded repertoire.

The new management has added Thai and Asian fusion fare to the selections.

Among the choices: Thai basil beef, Thai coconut-curry casserole, whole grilled garlic shrimp, pad Thai and Singapore noodles, crisp red snapper with Penang curry and rice wine vinaigrette, and seafood ceviche.

A full range of familiar Chinese and Japanese dishes remain, from General Tso’s chicken and wonton soup to sushi rolls and sashimi.

Peninsula is open weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday to 10:30 p.m.; and on Sunday from 1 to 9:30 p.m.
