Piecraft Pizza Bar in Island Park serves $1 over-the-top milkshakes

Piecraft Pizza Bar has served ice cream ever since the Chipotle-style, design-your-own pizzeria opened last year in Island Park. The idea was to provide a sweet finish to the meal for its many underage customers, but the soft-serve never really took off.

This week, the management decided to double down on frozen dessert, coming up with five over-the-top milkshakes. To launch the new menu, the 16-ounce milk shakes will be sold for only $1 through Sunday. (Regular price is $6.95.)

The flavors are red velvet (vanilla ice cream with whipped cream, cake, sprinkles and a red-velvet cookie), Oreo (twist ice cream, Oreos, chocolate syrup, whipped cream and sprinkles), candy crush (vanilla ice cream with whipped cream, sprinkles, gummy bears, rock candy pop and a cherry), sweet & salty (chocolate ice cream with whipped cream, crushed Reese’s Pieces and chocolate syrup, pretzels and peanut butter) and, for the surfers, shark bite (vanilla ice cream with cherry syrup, fresh cherries and Swedish Fish).
