They're having one "Hell" of a late spring at Plattduetsche Park.

That would be Krombacher Hell, a German brew that the Franklin Square restaurant and beer garden is highlighting. It's the only spot in North America to taste the easygoing, pilsner-style, blond beer aimed at an audience of drinkers in its 20s and 30s who may be just starting to enjoy beer.

"Hell" means light, as in bright, in German. Expect to find it at Plattduetsche Park starting June 6.

The Krombacher brewery dates to 1803 and produces some of Germany's best-selling beers. Plattduetsche Park will sell Krombacher Hell for $7 a half-liter, $13 a liter and $17 per pitcher.

Plattduetsche Park Restaurant, Catering & Biergarten serves lunch in the main building Wednesday to Sunday. The Biergarten is open Friday to Sunday.
