¡Ay Que Rico!, a Cuban-Latin restaurant in Port Washington, has parted ways with the chef who earned the place two stars in a recent review. Dishes remembered fondly from Eduardo Bover's repertoire include a cool watermelon mint soup, a fine Cuban sandwich and a cleverly spiced roast half chicken.

For now, the menu remains what it was, says owner Chris Brower, who added that Enoc Arce — sous chef under Bover — is now filling in. Meanwhile, a tryout for a new executive chef in progress.

Watch for updates.

¡Ay Que Rico! is at 95-97 Manorhaven Blvd., Port Washington; 516-944-2730.
