Whether you're a dog lover or a beer nut, Even Flow Bar & Grill has the event for you. Owner Daniel P. Wiseman is organizing a craft-beer extravaganza to benefit the Town of Islip Animal Shelter. “Pours for Paws” on Nov. 9 will feature local brews from Great South Bay Brewery, Long Ireland Beer, Fire Island Beer and Barrage Brewery as well as interlopers from the likes of Founders Brewery (Michigan), Flagship Brewery (Staten Island) and Fireman’s Brew (California).

Wiseman, who is also the founder of the Long Island Buffalo Wing Festival, will be serving eight of his own prizewinning wing sauces and is encouraging attendees to bring their own sauces (enough to sauce 24 wings) to be judged in a blind tasting.

There’ll be music too: Local bands (Flak Jacket, All New Episode, For The Kill, Mr. Hand and Permanent Scar, to name a few) will start playing at 3 p.m. and continue through and after the event.

Advance tickets are $40 and entitle the bearer to four hours of "endless craft beer and award-winning wings.” Buy tickets online here, or at Even Flow Bar & Grill, 150 E. Main St., Bay Shore, 631-665-9696. Tickets will be $45 at the door.
