Red Fish in Plainview to close, reopen as gastropub

If you’ve been yearning for the Asian lacquered Chilean sea bass or kung pao calamari at Red Fish Grille in Plainview, better get there soon, since Sunday, June 9, will be its last day. This according to owner Art Bloom, who has been slowly but steadily renovating and refurbishing the site.
Bloom first launched Red Fish back in 2002, after transforming an earlier incarnation of his, Fat Artie’s. He will be making another such transformation: The new restaurant is called Morrison’s, a gastropub serving comfort food with a Southern accent. It should be opening soon.
