Dark Horse "rides onto Main Street with very good food and casual style," Peter Gianotti writes in today's review of the new Riverhead restaurant. Giving it two stars, he touts its roasted-shell shrimp bisque, duck two ways and the bison filet -- not to mention the build-your-own ice cream sandwich with which you can end the meal.

Stony Brook finally gets the obligatory college-town Thai with the arrival of Centara Thai Cuisine, Joan Reminick writes, giving the restaurant one-and-a-half stars in this week's Cheap Eats column. The restaurant excels with "curry puffs," spicy noodles with shrimp and chicken curry.
