Huntington Social, Peter Gianotti writes in today's Newsday, is "a nimble combo of gastro pub, lounge and stylized restaurant." He gives the Huntington restaurant two stars, praising the chef's veal-cheek "bahn mi" sliders with citrus-sesame aioli, above, among the restaurant's other dishes.
Joan Reminick gives three stars to Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, which she says inspired a "food induced OMG moment," despite its being a chain restaurant in Woodbury. She recommends pork ribs with garlic and rosemary, risotto, even roasted-cauliflower pizza.
