Le Whif, breathable food

This just in: Le Whif, “the world’s first breathable food,” will make its Long Island debut this Saturday at Dylan’s Candy Bar in Roosevelt Field Mall. Created by Harvard Professor David Edwards, in collaboration with the ArtScience Labs network—and I admit that I’m just paraphrasing the press release here—Le Whif is a lipstick-like device that delivers breathable taste sensations. Flavors include coffee and three varieties of chocolate: pure, raspberry and mint.

A three-pack, pictured here, costs $8. You get about eight puffs per Whif.

On Saturday Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., customers can join the staff of Dylan’s for product demonstrations and free samples. Dylan’s Candy Bar is at Roosevelt Field Mall, 630 Old Country Road, Garden City, 516-877-7060.
