Saffron in Glen Head: Thanksgiving is served

Cost: $52 plus tax and tip. The restaurant, in the space previously occupied by Bistro M, will be serving dinner from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Reservations recommended.
First-course choices include pumpkin-butternut squash soup, crabmeat-stuffed mushrooms, and pumpkin gnocchi in chestnut-brown butter sauce. That's followed by a lemon-sorbet palate cleanser.
Main dishes include roasted stuffed turkey breast with apple-sage stuffing, sweet-potato gratin and cranberry relish; filet mignon with potato croquette and butternut-squash risotto; pan-seared sea scallops with roasted Brussels sprouts and spaghetti squash puree; and pecan-crusted sea bass with roasted cauliflower, wild mushroom couscous and celery root puree.
Dessert: either apple cobbler, sweet-potato bread pudding, pumpkin cheesecake or dulce de leche gelato.
