Salsa Pica Mexican Grill comes to West Babylon

Salsa Pica Mexican Grill replaces the intriguingly named Sexy Firehouse Chicken in a West Babylon ShopRite strip mall.
A recent lunch at the modest little place amounted to a small soft corn chorizo taco ($2.25) topped with chopped onion and cilantro as well as a fish taco ($2.50) crowned with shredded cabbage and white sauce. Both proved lively and satisfying. From the help-yourself fresh salsa bar, I got some pico de gallo — which would have benefited from redder, sweeter tomatoes — and a piquant tomatillo sauce.
Also on the menu: chicken taquitos ($4.99), a shrimp burrito ($7.99) and a steak quesadilla ($6.99).
