Sbarro, the Melville-based international pizza purveyor, is shutting 155 locations across the United States, including three on Long Island. The move is part of a corporate restructuring designed to make the company more profitable.

Quick-serve food-court Sbarros at Sunrise Mall in Massapequa, Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream and Broadway Mall in Hicksville were, accordingly, shuttered on Wednesday. Other Long Island locations, including those in Roosevelt Field and Smith Haven malls and at Hofstra University, remain open, as do sit-down Mama Sbarro locations in Hauppauge and Deer Park.
