Mindful eating is the concept behind Seasons 52, a Florida-based chain opened today  at Roosevelt Field. Here, no single dish exceeds 475 calories. The menu, which stresses freshness, changes according to what’s seasonally available.

The new place is a freestanding multilevel structure situated between the AMC Loews and Grand Lux Cafe. With seating for about 400, it  has a piano lounge with live nightly entertainment as well as several private dining rooms and a chef's table that seats up to 12.

A glance at the menu reveals a spicy chipotle shrimp flatbread (400 calories, $9.95), a chicken chile relleno (330 calories, $9.05), a lemongrass salmon entree salad (460 calories, $14.95) and wood-roasted pork tenderloin with herbed polenta, broccoli and cremini mushrooms (470 calories, $17.20). Desserts known as mini indulgences ($2.50 each) are served in little shot glasses and come in such varieties as chocolate peanut butter mousse (220 calories), pecan pie with vanilla mousse (320 calories) and Key lime pie (250 calories).

Seasons 52 is at 630 Old Country Rd, Suite Ll02, Garden City, 516-248-5252
