Secret Vegan Kitchen, a business  that first debuted at the Long Island Vegan Pop Up in Oct., has taken up a more permanent residency, at Barrier Brewing Co. in Oceanside.

On Mondays, from 3 to 9 p.m., owner Tiffany Gordon can be found cooking up a menu of all-vegan eats, from plant-based chicken and corn dogs to loaded fries and mozzarella sticks.

Here, "chicken" is served between pretzel buns with Buffalo or maple barbecue sauces and some fixings. Gordon also offers vegan takes on popcorn chicken, and a Nashville hot "chicken" sandwich that’s topped with sweet pickles and ranch  (served with fries, $16). Add on loaded fries, from  jalapeño "bacon Cheddar,” to “pepperoni” pizza or disco for $12 apiece.

One of her top sellers, Gordon said, is the vegan corn dogs, which include the classic, topped with ketchup and mustard, and Korean-style, coated with French fries, street corn or pineapple jalapeños ($10). On special, you’ll find falafel burgers, loaded macaroni and cheese and cheesesteak egg rolls, a menu item  that Gordon says took about a year to perfect.

Outside, a dozen or so tables are set up, with more seating inside. Drinks are available only through the brewery.

Secret Vegan Kitchen continues to participate in the traveling Long Island Vegan Pop Up, mainly in Nassau County. It’s also available for catering.

Secret Vegan Kitchen operates out of the 3rd Rail Kitchen trailer at Barrier Brewing Co. at 3001 New St. in Oceanside. More info: 347-480-7607; secretvegankitchen.com
