For the past 10 years, Mark Bergbuchler has been both chef and owner of this nautical Northport spot, which serves a menu that stresses seafood and pasta.
Bergbuchler's seafood bisque and seafood Florentine bisque garnered first place at a chowder contest held at the Snapper Inn in 2005. The restaurant, which owns two tickets to every performance at the Northport's new John Engeman Theater, stages a nightly drawing. The winners get to go on a subsequent evening. The restaurant also serves breakfast on weekends, offering everything from pancakes to eggs Benedict to steak and eggs.
