Shish Kebab Grill in Roslyn: Skewers gone askew

I ended up feeling a bit burned after a recent lunch in Roslyn at the new Shish Kebab Grill, which opened over the winter in the storefront site last occupied by Kalamaki.
To start, a Greek salad harbored lettuce that had gone brown in some parts, translucent in others. It was part of a $9.95 lunch special that also included chicken “chops” — a solitary, scrawny, semi-boned thigh blackened and dried out by the grill. My companion's grilled shrimp lunch special ($12.95) starred charred shellfish that tasted of iodine.
And carelessness.
