Sloppy Tuna, Montauk: Kinda Neat

A cool ocean breeze and a first-rate grilled tuna sandwich ($18) with hand-cut fries made the beachfront roof deck of the Sloppy Tuna in Montauk the place to be this afternoon. And even if the slice of cheese on top of the perfectly rare seared fish was unnecessary, it was also easily removed.
In comparison, a lobster roll ($20) was a letdown. Fine lobster salad but not enough of it on a heavy brioche bun.
Quite a bar scene for a weekday afternoon. I can’t even imagine how lively it will be on a midsummer weekend.
